2017 North Lanarkshire

The 40th edition of the Westfield Health British Transplant Games ventured into Scotland and took place in beautiful area of North Lanarkshire.

25 sports took place at outstanding venues including Ravenscraig Regional Sport Facility, Wishaw Sports Centre and Strathclyde Country Park and welcomed 721 Transplant Athletes and 1432 of their Supporters who we’re cheered on, encouraged and helped by 443 Northlander’s who volunteered at the Games.

The Games worked with 19 hotels amassing over 7000 bed nights in the area bring an Economic Impact to the Region of £2.9 million.

The publicity achieved by the Games in 2017 generated a Total Combined Media Reach 0f 141,680,402.​
